Former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile went on Fox News on Tuesday and told a horrific lie about Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election loss.
During an interview with Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto, Brazile claimed that Clinton lost the 2016 election because of Russian meddling.
Brazile, who serves as a Fox News contributor, also implied that Russian meddling played a role in changing or swaying votes, which is a flat-out lie.
Brazile said, “I’m saying that Russia played a role in 2016, and I say while there are other factors that led to Secretary Clinton falling short of the 270 electoral votes, yes, I do believe that Russia was a major factor in the debacle in 2016.”
“Before he deleted the tweet he put out about Russia’s hope, the Russians sought to help Donald Trump and defeat Hillary Clinton. There’s other factors that led to Secretary Clinton not getting 270 electoral votes,” she added.
Brazile continued, “I push back on those that don’t believe that the interference caused havoc and created chaos. A foreign country that sought to influence the elections, they should have been reported. I became chair of the Democratic party for the second time in my life—interim chair—as a result of the hacking. It’s time we put our Constitution ahead of partisan politics.”
The debate heated up even more after Cavuto accused Brazile of refusing to address Clinton‘s “lousy campaign or her refusal to go to these big manufacturing states” and just scapegoating Russia instead.
After Cavuto clapped back at Brazile for pushing an obvious lie, Brazile got very defensive.
“When I talk, I speak for myself. I don’t need you or anybody else to interpret what I said,” Brazile charged.
She added, “I do believe that Russia is one of the major, factor-wise, why she’s not in the White House. But there are other mitigating factors, and I said that as well.”

For the record, there is absolutely no proof that Russians changed a single vote in the 2016 presidential election.
In 2018, USA Today reported that the the Senate Intelligence Committee’s Russia report found no evidence that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election affected the actual vote count.
“The Committee has not seen any evidence that vote tallies were manipulated or that voter registration information was deleted or modified,” the report said, confirming a January 2017 assessment by U.S. intelligence agencies.
Brazile was also dead wrong about Russia collusion having a role on the election.
Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence that Trump, his campaign, or any American colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
Mueller has made it clear that there is no evidence of collusion or obstruction.
Like Clinton, Democrats are still refusing to accept the outcome of the 2016 election.
