WATCH: Acosta Portrays Himself As A Hero, Pushes Disgusting Conspiracy About Trump’s Mental State

CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta is promoting his new book by portraying himself as a hero and spreading a disgusting conspiracy theory about President Donald Trump’s mental state.

While speaking with CNN’s Brian Stelter on Sunday about his new book, “The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America,” Acosta was given all the time he wanted to question Trump’s mental health and claim, without any evidence, that the president is “crazy.”

“I tell folks I’m not a psychiatrist so I can’t assess the president’s mental state, but I will tell you my sense of it is covering him for a pretty long period of time now is he’s more crazy like a fox,” Acosta said.

“What Trump tries to do is really control the narrative by saying sensational things that sound wild and nutty sometimes and he does this because he knows it dominates the news cycle,” Acosta said. “That makes it a priority for us in the news business to talk about him nonstop and he loves that and he capitalizes on that.”

In addition to his interview on Reliable Sources, Acosta also did his best to portray himself as a hero during a separate interview.

While promoting his book on CBS’s Sunday Morning, host Mo Rocca began: “Whether White House officials like it or not, Jim Acosta of CNN is always ready to ask the next question.”
Reid touted, “Jim Acosta, chief White House correspondent for CNN, has had his fair share of heated exchanges,” and noted the White House briefly revoked Acosta’s press pass.

Reid and Acosta then took turns patting Acosta on the back for all of his hard work.

REID: There are two basic criticisms of you even from some of your colleagues and certainly from the White House and one of them is that you grandstand.

DINESH D’SOUZA: I am looking at an overgrown infant.

JESSE WATTERS: He thinks he’s the Rosa parks of the press corps. [end clip]

REID: — That you sometime make the news rather than report on the news. Is that a valid criticism?

ACOSTA: Well I know folks are going to say that. I look at it as, I am doing my job and I see this as a very serious, serious moment in our nation’s history, and I think to some extent we have been trying to figure out the best way to cover this president and —
REID: Do you think you found the best way to cover him, confront him?

ACOSTA: I think I found the best —

REID: Challenge him?

ACOSTA: I think I have found the best way for me.

Acosta is many things, but a vast majority of Americans would agree that he is anything but a hero.
