Trump Reveals If He’ll Participate In House Judiciary Impeachment Hearing

Democrats are still determined as ever to impeach President Donald Trump over his July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s public hearings last month were a total snooze-fest that didn’t provide any evidence that the president did anything wrong.

Now, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler is taking over the «next phase» of the Democrats witch hunt — and his first order was to invite Trump to take part in the impeachment hearings.

In a fiery 5-page letter, the president not only declined to take part in the circus, his team utterly eviscerated the Democrats for carrying on this witch hunt.

The White House announced Trump and his lawyers won’t participate in the House Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing scheduled for Wednesday and accused Nadler of «purposely» scheduling the proceedings when Trump would be attending the NATO Leaders’ Meeting in London.

The letter is in response to Democrats on Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee preparing to approve a report that will allege the president is guilty of bribery or “high crimes and misdemeanors,” the constitutional standard for impeachment.

Democrats claim Trump «withholding» aid to Ukraine is bribery.

After receiving the report, the Judiciary Committee would prepare actual charges.

The White House didn’t hold back in its letter:

“This baseless and highly partisan inquiry violates all past historical precedent, basic due process rights, and fundamental fairness,” wrote White House counsel Pat Cipollone, continuing the West Wing’s attack on the procedural form of the impeachment proceedings. Cipollone said Nadler provided only «vague» details about the hearing, and that unnamed academics — and not «fact witnesses» — would apparently be attending.

«As for the hearing scheduled for December 4, we cannot fairly be expected to participate in a hearing while the witnesses are yet to be named and while it remains unclear whether the Judiciary Committee will afford the president a fair process through additional hearings,» Cipollone said. «More importantly, an invitation to an academic discussion with law professors does not begin to provide the President with any semblance of a fair process. Accordingly, under the current circumstances, we do not intend to participate in your Wednesday hearing.»

He continued: «When the Judiciary Committee scheduled a similar hearing during the Clinton impeachment process, it allowed those questioning the witnesses two-and-a-half weeks’ notice to prepare, and it scheduled the hearing on a date suggested by the president’s attorneys. Today, by contrast, you have afforded the president no scheduling input, no meaningful information and so little time to prepare that you have effectively denied the administration a fair opportunity to participate.»

Cipollone also demanded to know whether Republicans would be able to cross-examine and call their own fact witnesses, including Schiff.

In recent weeks, we’ve learned that Schiff’s team has very troubling ties to the alleged «whistleblower» who filed a complaint in August against Trump over his July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president.

Schiff failed to fully disclose his staff’s contact with the “whistleblower” who helped spark that inquiry.

We also recently learned that Schiff’s House Intelligence Committee has at least two staffers with ties to a think tank partially funded by Burisma Holdings — the corrupt Ukraine energy company that paid an obscene amount of money to Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, while Biden was was the vice president and serving as the Obama administration’s point man for Ukraine policy.

One important thing we also know is that the so-called whistleblower who kicked off the entire impeachment witch hunt is nothing more than a left-wing, anti-Trump hack.

Public reporting also indicates that the whistleblower is Eric Ciaramella, who is: (1) a registered Democrat; (2) worked for Obama and Joe Biden when they were in the White House; (3) is a vocal critic of Trump; (4) helped initiate the Russia “collusion” hoax; and (5) was fired from the National Security Council in 2017 for leaks, and returned to the CIA.

Republicans want to call Schiff to testify about all of this.
