President Trump’s re-election campaign took to the skies over Ohio on Tuesday to troll the field of 12 Democrats vying to challenge him in 2020 — flying a plane over the debate venue with a pro-Trump banner.
“Socialism Destroys Ohio Jobs, Vote Trump,” read the giant, green sign flapping behind the plane as it circled over Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.
“President Trump is a master of branding and marketing and we’re always looking for new and interesting ways to promote his re-election,” Tim Murtaugh, the communications director for the Trump campaign, told The Post.
“Everybody does TV ads and online ads, so why not branch out and actually advertise in the sky?”
The campaign employed the same tactic during last month’s debate in Houston.
