During an interview with Fox News’ Martha MacCallum, Trey Gowdy issued a firm warning, saying that the thought of Eric Swalwell as President should “scare the ever-living hell out of you.”
During the segment on Fox, Gowdy and MacCallum were discussing Swalwell’s past rhetoric where he specifically referred to President Trump as a “Russian asset” even though the Mueller report proved the President did not collude with Russia. According to Swalwell however, President Trump needs to “prove that he did not do something.”
“President Eric Swalwell, that ought to scare the ever-living Hell out of you, Martha,” Gowdy stated directly after MacCallum played a short video of Swalwell making his radical remarks.
“His last sentence is exactly the difference between a prosecutor and a politician,” he said. “Prosecutors prove that you did something, politicians make you prove you did not. Did you hear his last sentence? ‘I challenge President Trump to prove that he did not do something.’ That’s what politicians do.”
“That’s not the way law works,” MacCallum also noted.
Swalwell seems to be using the “guilty until proven innocent” method instead of “innocent until proven guilty.” Just another corrupt member of the swamp!
Since the release of the Mueller report which proved once and for all that the Trump campaign in no way colluded with Russia, Swalwell has continued to peddle his far Left conspiracy theories with no factual evidence.
Swalwell’s views on the justice system isn’t the only thing we should be worrying about. The radical congressman has also been a loud advocate for gun control and gun confiscation.
Late last year in his USA Today column, Swalwell said he wanted to ban all “assault weapons” and buy them back.
Reinstating the federal assault weapons ban that was in effect from 1994 to 2004 would prohibit manufacture and sales, but it would not affect weapons already possessed. This would leave millions of assault weapons in our communities for decades to come.
Instead, we should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.
So not only does he want to take away your Second Amendment but he also wants to put you in jail if you decide to not give up your constitutional rights. The founding fathers literally made the Second Amendment to keep people like Swalwell in check.
This announcement to ban certain weapons did not go over well for him.
Conservative Joe Biggs slammed the radical congressman in a tweet saying, “So basically @RepSwalwell wants a war. Because that’s what you would get. You’re outta your fucking mind if you think I’ll give up my rights and give the gov all the power.”
Swalwell responded to Biggs by claiming that he would have the ability to nuke gun owners who didn’t give up their Second Amendment rights.
“And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities,” Swalwell said in his response to Biggs.
Gowdy is right. Swalwell should scare the hell out of every American. Not only is this man a raging lunatic but he also wants to take away your constitutional rights.
