White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders hilariously trolled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for claiming that the world is “going to end” in just 12 years.During an interview Tuesday night on Fox News, host Sean Hannity asked Sanders about Ocasio-Cortez’s incredibly bizarre claim.
I don’t think we’re going to listen to [Ocasio-Cortez] on much of anything — particularly not on matters we’re gonna leave in the hands of a much, much higher authority — and certainly, not listen to the freshman congresswoman on when the world may end,” Sanders said.
After taking turns mocking Ocasio-Cortez’s insane claim, Sanders went on to say that the White House is focused on things that actually matter, such as the ongoing partial federal government shutdown.
“We’re focused on what’s happening in the world right now,” Sanders said. “We wish that Democrats like herself would engage in that conversation, help us fix some of the current problems we know exist, and work with us to get some things done — particularly on the border, fixing the national and humanitarian crisis.”
Sanders added: “That’s the kind of stuff we’re focused on, not things we’re gonna leave up to the hands of something and someone much more powerful than any of us.”

Sanders comments were in response to Ocasio-Cortez telling an audience on Monday night that the world is going to end in 12 years if climate change is not addressed.
“I think that the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

Ocasio-Cortez also suggested reparations for minorities, claimed climate change is comparable to the atrocities of World War II, and appeared to imply that it is “immoral” for billionaires to exist.
“Until America tells the truth about itself, we’re not going to heal,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“When we tell the stories of the mistakes we have made in the past, economically speaking, when we talk about the issue of reparations, people think, you know, people think,” she continued.
And here’s @AOC arguing for racial reparations over … the New Deal?

Later on, the New York lawmaker said it’s “immoral” that America’s economic system “allows billionaires to exist” and claimed that the world is going to end soon if we don’t address climate change, which she argued is “our World War II.”
It’s quite remarkable to see a member of Congress suggest reparations for minorities, question billionaires having the right to “exist,” and argued that climate change poses a similar threat to World War II, where over 60 million people died.
