Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh dropped a truth bomb this week and argued that the FBI tried to plant informants with Russian ties into the Trump campaign to prove “collusion.”
During an interview on Fox News with host Sean Hannity, Limbaugh detailed how rogue officials at the FBI devised a plan to use informants to make their case that President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
“This was not an investigation, this was a coup,” Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh then detailed a passage in Attorney General Williams Barr’s 4-page summary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which noted the Trump campaign repeatedly turned down offers from Russia contacts for “help.”
Barr’s summary specifically stated, “The special counsel did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in these efforts, despite multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign.”
Limbaugh then tore into the FBI for these efforts to entrap Trump.
“What happened is the FBI attempted to plant their own informants on the Trump campaign,” Limbaugh said.
He added, “One of them named Stefan Halper, a Cambridge professor, MI-6 UK, they tried to get him hired in a foreign policy advisory role during the campaign and, fortunately after interviewing him, didn’t hire him.”
“If he had been hired, and they tried to get two more people, if they had been hired, here’s is what they would have done: They would have started communicating with Russia agents they know, and then there would have been the collusion that the FBI was trying to create,” said Limbaugh.
“This is worse than anybody was led to believe it is,” the commentator concluded
Limbaugh’s comments are in response to Mueller submitting his final report to the Department of Justice last Friday.
On Sunday, Barr provided Congress with a 4-page document outlining the main takeaways from Mueller’s report.
Barr said that Mueller’s report makes it clear there he found no collusion or evidence that Trump ever committed a crime.
URGENT POLL: Does Trump have your vote in 2020?
“The report does not recommend any further indictments, nor did the Special Counsel obtain any sealed indictments that have yet to be made public.,” Barr wrote in his letter to Congress.
Barr wrote that the DOJ will not be bringing any charges against Trump for alleged obstruction or anything else.
So, Trump has been completely cleared in the Russia probe and there are no charges being brought against him for collusion or obstructing justice.
But just like the 2016 presidential election, Democrats are refusing to accept the outcome and will continue to waste taxpayer money to investigate the president.
Now that it’s all over and the dust has settled, Mueller has made it clear that there is no collusion!
