REPORT: Melania Told President Trump That Christine Blasey Ford Was Lying; ‘You Know That Woman..’

A new bombshell book alleges that First Lady Melania Trump told President Donald Trump last year that she did not believe Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

According to an excerpt from the book “Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court,” which was obtained by the New York Post, the first lady thought Ford was lying when she testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last October.

The explosive new book was written by Mollie Hemingway, a senior editor at The Federalist, and Carrie Severino, the chief counsel and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network.

The book, which comes out on Tuesday, uses the first lady as an example of how “millions of other women and men” didn’t believe Ford and her shoddy allegations.

“Her credibility, if anything, was viewed as stronger because of her lapses in memory and because the odder parts to the story, such as her description of how she came to tell her husband about the assault,” the authors regarding how Blasey Ford’s testimony was perceived. “Despite the holes in her story, the media clung to these details.”

During an interview from Africa last October, Melania Trump told ABC News journalist Tom Llamas that the media needed to stop rushing to judgement every time someone makes an allegation.

“I support the women, and they need to be heard. We need to support them — and also men, not just women. We need to have really hard evidence … if you accuse [someone] of something, show the evidence,” the first lady said.

“I do stand with women,” she insisted. “But we need to show the evidence. You cannot just say to somebody, ‘I was sexually assaulted’ or ‘you did that to me’ … because sometimes the media goes too far in the way they portray some stories. It’s not correct. It’s not right.”

She also addressed the Kavanaugh matter during her visit.

“I think he’s highly qualified for the Supreme Court,” Trump told members of the press. “I’m glad that Dr. Ford was heard, I’m glad that Judge Kavanaugh was heard, FBI investigation was done, is completed and the Senate voted.”

Ford alleged that Kavanaugh groped her at a high school pool party around 1983.

When grilled and pressed for proof before and after her testimony before the Senate, Ford was unable to provide any witnesses or evidence to support her claims.

After delaying his confirmation hearing a week to appease Democratic lawmakers, the FBI gave Congress the final report into the supplemental background check, which revealed that there was no support for the allegations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by a vote tally of 50-48.

Kavanaugh was able to survive an all-out smear campaign.
