OUCH! Beto Announces 2020 Presidential Bid, And The Responses Online Are HILARIOUS

Failed Texas Senatorial candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke announced on Thursday that he’s running for president, but not many were too excited about “another white male” throwing their hate in the ring.

“I am running to serve you as the next president. The challenges we face are the greatest in living memory. No one person can meet them on their own. Only this country can do that, and only if we build a movement that includes all of us. Say you’re in:,” O’Rourke tweeted.

His tweet also featured his announcement video, where he is awkwardly sitting next to his wife as he lays out why he is the perfect man for the job.

Now that he is officially running for president, how do liberals actually feel about it?

The responses online are actually quite hilarious.

While some are excited and cheering him on, many other liberals are very upset that “another white male” is running for president.

Below are some examples of those responses:

O’Rourke claims he is a moderate Democrat who supports centrist policies that will appeal to regular Americans.

That’s one of the first lies he has told voters. One look at his previous comments clearly shows O’Rourke is arguably one of the most radical Democrats running for president in 2020.

Earlier this year, O’Rourke questioned if the nation’s founding principles are relevant today and believes America’s southern border is “fully secured.”

During an interview with The Washington Post, O’Rourke questioned if the U.S. Constitution is too outdated to address the issues facing the nation.

When asked for specifics on whether the founding principles can keep the nation from declining, O’Rourke gave a mind-boggling response.

“Does this still work?” O’Rourke asked. “Can an empire like ours with military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships … and security agreements in every continent, can it still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago?”

Later in the interview, the former Texas lawmaker falsely claimed that the U.S. border with Mexico is “already fully secured” and that building a wall to combat illegal immigration “will ensure death” of innocent civilians.

“You will ensure death,” he said, referring to President Donald Trump’s goal of building a wall. “You and I, as Americans, have caused the deaths of others through these walls.”

O’Rourke has made a slew of other controversial remarks this year since becoming a well-known name in politics.

In October, he smeared law enforcement officials and said police are “the new Jim Crow.”
