Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., tried to attack Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren, and it did not end well for her.On Sunday, Lahren and rapper Cardi B got into a Twitter spat over President Donald Trump and the partial government shutdown.
Not long after Cardi B referred to Trump supporters as “racist a** rednecks” and blamed Trump for the shutdown, Lahren responded by returning the fire.
“Looks like @iamcardib is the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats. HA! Keep it up, guys! #MAGA2020,” Lahren wrote.

Cardi B responded with a threatening tweet of her own: “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.”

Lahren immediately fired back: “I’m sure you would. Still doesn’t make your political rambling any less moronic. #BuildthatWall.”

The rapper responded by writing: “I’m paying about 4 million in taxes this year so most likely I am Paying for your insurance ….That’s if your favorite president don’t take my tax money for his wall Mr white bread.”
Cardi B added in another tweet: “You’re so blinded with racism that you don’t even realize the decisions the president you root for is destroying the country you claim to love so much .You are a perfect example on no matter how educated or smart you think you are you still a SHEEP!”
This led to Ocasio-Cortez trying to compare herself to Cardi B because they are both from the Bronx, which is one of the five boroughs in New York City.
“Why do people think they can mess with Bronx women without getting roasted? They act as though our borough hasn’t been perfecting the clapback game since the Sugarhill Gang y’all just found it on Twitter,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote.

Grabien founder Tom Elliot reminded readers that almost everything Ocasio-Cortez said was technically false.
Not to get technical but the Sugarhill Gang is from New Jersey/Harlem and is not hitherto known for pioneering the “clapback” https://t.co/VDUAo0uJ5D

Aside from Lahren pulling her own weight and standing up to Cardi B, this is just one of many examples of how Ocasio-Cortez has to make everything about herself.
Ocasio-Cortez delivered her first House floor speech on Thursday and wasted little time attacking Trump.
In her roughly 3-minute speech, Ocasio-Cortez blamed Trump for the partial government shutdown, accused him of starving people, and said his demands for a border wall have resulted in “the erosion of American democracy.”
“It is actually not about a wall, it is not about the border, and it is certainly not about the well-being of everyday Americans. The truth is, this shutdown is about the erosion of American democracy and the subversion of our most basic governmental norms,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
She then accused Trump of starving people.
“It is not normal to hold 800,000 workers’ paychecks hostage. It is not normal to shut down the government when we don’t get what we want. And it is certainly not normal to starve the people we serve for a proposal that is wildly unpopular among the American people,” she said.
Quite amazing to see a member of Congress, without any evidence at all, accuse the president of the United States of starving people.
