In a recent statement, radical Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar referred to the attacks on 9/11 as “some people did something,” failing to mention who those people were and what the ideology behind the attack was.
he media for the most part turned a blind eye to this statement, except for the New York Post, who went after the congresswoman on the front page of their paper.
Donald Trump Jr. shared a cover of the New York Post with the comment, “This woman is a disgrace. Never in my life would I imagine a member of congress showing this much disdain for America & Americans.” he also added, “I also never thought I’d see Democrats & their media lackeys turn a blind eye to this and her anti-semitism. The dems have lost their way!

The photo showed the deadly 9/11 attack with Omar’s comments displayed at the top of the page.
At the bottom of the page it read, “Here’s your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism,” an obvious attack on Omar.
This reaction from Donald Trump Jr. and the New York Post comes after comments that Omar made at the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said to the group last month.
Democratic Rep. Max Rose of Staten Island even stepped in and said “words matter.”
“Our city and country was brutally attacked by terrorists on 9/11. Thousands of innocent people were murdered, including hundreds of Staten Islanders and Brooklynites,” Rose said.
“As Americans we absolutely need to ensure that we uphold our civil liberties while keeping our country safe and we haven’t always done that,” he added, encouraging lawmakers to fund the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.
Check out what the New York Post reported:
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Democrat from Michigan, came to Omar’s defense on Thursday when she was asked on MSNBC if Omar should have rethought her words.
“They do this all the time to us, especially women of color… they take our words out of context because they’re afraid because we speak truth, we speak truth to power,” Tlaib, who is also Muslim, said.
“She was talking about uplifting people by supporting their civil liberties and civil rights,” Tlaib added. As a refugee herself, “she sees what terrorism can do, she sees what violence can do to a whole country, to a whole people.”
GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who lost an eye fighting in Afghanistan, called Omar’s comments “unbelievable.”
“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something,’” he wrote on Twitter.
Once again, Omar is either encouraging anti-Semitism or downplaying the terrorism brought on my her religion.
Instead of condemning her for her words, the Left is deciding to either simply ignore her comments, or the actually go as far as saying that SHE is the victim in all of this.
