Michelle Obama Ex-Chief Of Staff DOESN’T TRUST Chicago PD; Wants Jussie Smollett Case Sent To FBI

Earlier this week, USA Today reported that Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff Tina Tchen attempted to get the Chicago Police Department to turn over the Smollett investigation to the FBI. The Chicago Police Department ended up busting Smollett for 16 felony counts for filing a false police report where he staged an attack on himself and blamed it on Trump supporters instead.

The big question here is WHY? Why was Tchen wanting to turn over the investigation to the FBI?

Documents obtained by USA Today show that Tchen and the Chicago-area’s lead prosecutor Kim Foxx, pushed hard to get the investigation into the hands of the FBI which took place before the actor ended up getting busted with the 16 felony counts.

Check out what the Daily Wire reported:

The paper reports that texts and emails provided by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office show that Tchen told Foxx that Smollett’s family had “concerns” about how the Chicago PD were handling the case, which eventually turned dramatically against the actor and singer. Tchen, an attorney based in Chicago who co-founded the Times Up Legal Defense Fund, encouraged Foxx to contact Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to ask him to cede the investigation to federal authorities.

Why should anyone care about what Smollett’s family thinks about the Chicago Police Department? The fact that a former Chief of Staff is colluding with the actors family shows the abuse of power and close connections that high level Democrats have with celebrities.
Below is the conversation between Tchen and Foxx.
“Spoke to the Superintendent Johnson,” Foxx told Tchen in an email on February 1. “I convinced him to Reach out to FBI to ask that they take over the investigation.”

In a text message with one of Smollett’s relatives, Foxx said, “Spoke to the superintendent earlier, he made the ask. Trying to figure out logistics. I’ll keep you posted.”

Omg this would be a huge victory,” the relative said.

“I make no guarantees, but I’m trying,” responded Foxx.

This attempt of diverting the investigation to the FBI is pretty surprising and raises many questions. First of all, it shows how closely connected high profile Democrats are with celebrities.

Secondly, WHY did Tchen and Foxx wan’t this to be investigated by the FBI? It’s already been proven that the FBI has a positive bias towards the Left, so does Tchen and Foxx think that the FBI would have been easier on Smollett?

Or did Tchen and Foxx think that the investigation would have been a long drawn out process like the Russia investigation where Mueller has spent over two years investigating the Trump campaign and has found no evidence of wrongdoing?

Maybe Tchen and Foxx were hoping that the FBI would “find” nothing like they did with the Las Vegas shooting. On October 1st, 2017, Stephen Paddock carried out the largest mass shooting in American history. After a year of investigating the shooter, the FBI came up with NOTHING about the motives surrounding the shooting and NOTHING about Paddock. Weird, right?

What are your thoughts? Why do you think Tchen and Foxx wanted to push the investigation over to the FBI? Let us know in the comments below!
