Melania Made A Little Girl’s Christmas Dream Come True With Incredible Acts Of Kindness

First Lady Melania Trump made one little girl’s dream come true on Tuesday with incredible acts of kindness. The Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson attended the annual Toys for Tots drive at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling and detailed an incredible moment that took place

The toy drive, which is hosted by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, is often attended by the first lady so she can take part in speaking with the children and giving out a few gifts.

After delivering brief remarks to all of the families who attended the event, Melania led the roughly 100 children to a massive table that was packed full of toys for those in need.

With hundreds of kids and parents all over the place, the event was understandably chaotic for one little girl — and that’s when Melania stepped in.

Johnson reports that 7-year-old Jackie Rodriguez caught the attention of Melania when she appeared confused and upset about what was going on

Melania not only talked to Rodriguez, she helped her toy sorting and led her to the table where everyone was writing Christmas cards to go with the gifts.

“She has been waiting for this day,” said Nancy, who reportedly had tears in her eyes after seeing her daughter with the first lady.

“She has been talking non-stop about meeting Mrs. Trump. This is her Christmas dream come true,” she added.

Mr. Rodriguez, who serves in the military, told Johnson that he “was stunned and amazed” watching the “unexpected attention” the first lady gave to his daughter.

Johnson went on to report that Rodriquez began crying after the first lady left because she already missed her.

“She’s crying because Mrs. Trump is gone,” Nancy said.

Nancy said that Melania had also given her daughter a drawing as a parting gift

The First Lady will be gifting 100 books to the Toys for Tots Literacy Program. Since starting in 2008, the program has distributed over 39 million books to less fortunate children, helping to reduce the illiteracy rate among children.

Melania will also be sending out Be Best bags, which is part of her anti-bullying campaign, with coloring books, candies, and a few other gifts to all of the young children who attended the event and helped wrap gifts for underprivileged kids.

Last week, Melania made an incredible gesture for the Bush family that not many in the media talked about.

The Bush family was in Washington, D.C., last week following the tragic death of the late President George H.W. Bush.

On Tuesday, one day before Bush’s state funeral, Melania invited former President George W. Bush and his wife, former First Lady Laura Bush, to the White House.

The family was given a tour of the White House Christmas decorations and even took a picture together in front of the 41st President’s portrait.

“A sweet visit during this somber week. Thanks to Mrs. Trump for inviting our family to the White House to see the Christmas decorations and our old friends, the residence staff,” Bush wrote on Instagram.

The gesture, while it may not seem like much, likely meant a lot to the Bush family.

Dealing with the loss of Bush Sr. was certainly hard on the family, and being able to get their minds off of it, even for a few hours, was a very nice gesture by the Trumps.
