JUSTICE SERVED: Republican Matt Gaetz Introduces ‘PENCIL Act’ To REMOVE Adam Schiff

In what might be the most epic troll of all time, Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz unveiled a new savage resolution to remove House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff from the committee over his egregious handling of the Russia probe.

Gaetz took to Twitter on Wednesday to announced that he introduced the “PENCIL Act,” which targets Schiff for pushing bogus Trump-Russia collusion theories for over two years.

“Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that Congressman Adam Schiff should be removed from the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House and that his security clearance should be revoked immediately,” the resolution states. “Whereas Congressman Adam Schiff is the Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.”

Last month, all nine Republicans on the House Intel Committee sent a letter to Schiff and called on him to resign as the chairman.

The letter said that Schiff was exposed as “having abused” his “position to knowingly promote false information, having damaged the integrity of this Committee, and undermined faith in U.S. government institutions.”

During an appearance on Fox News on Wednesday night, Gaetz told host Tucker Carlson about his resolution, titled,”Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses Resolution.”

The “Pencil Act” calls for Schiff’s resignation from the committee.

The acronym is a reference to “pencil neck,” which is what President Donald Trump has called Schiff.

“I have filed legislation today, sent to the House, that Adam Schiff needs to be removed from the Intelligence Committee, because how are the rest of us supposed to be able to rely on a man, who you just showed, lied to the American people when he said that there was not spying? Or when he lied and said that there was actual evidence of collusion or clear evidence of collusion?” Gaetz began.

“If Adam Schiff is able to review covert operations and intelligence, and if we have to rely on his representation, our whole system is broken,” he continued. “It would be like putting Lori Loughlin in charge of the college board. It would be like putting Jussie Smollett in charge of the hate crime of the FBI.”

As Gaetz noted, Schiff has faced intense blow back since Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report stated that there was no evidence of collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

Attorney General William Barr also delivered a smack down to Schiff’s collusion theories and announced late last month that the Department of Justice would not be bringing any charges against Trump.

After spending the last two years spreading fake and false Trump-Russia collusion theories, many Americans would love to see Schiff held accountable for his actions
