Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a former bartender, thinks Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar has done more for 9/11 families than Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who lost his eye in combat while serving in the Middle East.
Earlier this week, Omar came under fire for disgustingly referencing the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks — where almost 3,000 innocent Americans were killed, by saying, “Some people did something.”
Ocasio-ortez took to Twitter on Thursday to defend Omar, claiming that the Muslim lawmaker has done more for 9/11 victims than the GOP.
Ocasio-Cortez then specifically went after Crenshaw.
Crenshaw, who served as a U.S. Navy SEAL after 9/11 and lost his eye after an IED blew up on his face while he fought in the Middle East, was one of many to call out Omar via Twitter.
“First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something.’ Unbelievable,” Crenshaw wrote.

The New York Post responded to Omar’s abhorrent comments by putting a photo of the burning Twin Towers on the cover of Thursday’s edition with the headline, “Here’s Your Something.’”
The cover went viral on social media and got a lot of attention.
