On Monday, counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway announced that she would represent the White House in the ongoing impeachment hearings if Rep. Adam Schiff promised to testify about his questionable contacts with the whistleblower who sparked the impeachment inquiry.
While speaking with reporters on Monday, Conway shredded Schiff and House Democrats.
They have to be more definitive about what we’re doing — what they’re doing — and they’re not definitive,” Conway said. “First it’s Judiciary Committee, then it goes over to Intel, now it’s back to Judiciary.”
“Is Adam Schiff going to testify?” Conway questioned. “Because he’s a fact witness. That would be great. I’ll tell you what, if Adam Schiff testifies, I’ll show up on behalf of the White House.”

On Sunday during an interview with Fox News host Chris Wallace, Republican Rep. and House Judiciary Committee member Doug Collins had similar words as Conway as he shredded Schiff, revealing that Republicans plan to call on him to testify under oath.
«First and foremost, the first person that needs to testify is Adam Schiff,» Collins started.
Collins then argued that Schiff was the one to «author» the entire impeachment inquiry in the first place.
«Adam Schiff is the author of this, Adam Schiff has been the author of many things, a lot of them found to be false over the last couple years,» the Republican representative continued. «But he is the author of this report. He’s compared himself in the past to a special counsel. This is what he said he was doing. Well if we look back to Clinton, with Clinton Ken Starr was the special counsel and he presented a report that we are going to get in the Judiciary. He actually came and testified under oath and took questions. My first and foremost witness is Adam Schiff.»

Collins wasn’t the only Republican representative to call out Schiff over the weekend. On Saturday, Republican Rep. John Ratcliffe revealed the real reason why House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff is refusing to release a key transcript from Michael Atkinson’s testimony.
Ratcliffe explained in a tweet that he believes Atkinson revealed a key connection between the whistleblower and people close to Schiff himself.
“It’s because I asked IG Atkinson about his ‘investigation’ into the contacts between Schiff’s staff and the person who later became the whistleblower. The transcript is classified ‘secret’ so Schiff can prevent you from seeing the answers to my questions,” he said.

Ratcliffe was responding to a tweet from investigative reporter Paul Sperry who tweeted: “Why is Schiff still withholding transcript of ICIG Michael Atkinson’s Oct 4 closed-door testimony which lasted 8+ hours? He’s released 15 witness transcripts but is still hiding Atkinson’s.»
