Democrats wasted no time in firing up the spin machine to turn the disappointment of a Mueller report with no indictments of President Trump and his children into yet another one of the twisted conspiracy theories that they traffic in.
While the results of the special counsel’s sweeping witch hunt have yet to be released, the usual suspects fanned out across the Sunday morning shows to cast aspersions on the motivations of new Attorney General William Barr and to allege that a dastardly plot is in the works.Leading the charge was House Judiciary Committee Jerrold Nadler who threw his considerable bulk behind any idea that Barr’s use of his discretion on what to release of the report would be a cover-up, a scam that he launched on Fox News Sunday.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler on Sunday called for special counsel Robert Mueller’s report to be released publicly along with any underlying evidence, arguing that doing less could be considered a “cover-up.”
Mueller did not drop new indictments as he wrapped up his nearly 2-year-old probe, but Nadler said President Donald Trump might have been shielded from criminal indictments because of the office he holds. If that is the case, Nadler said, Congress would hold him accountable.
“If the president cannot be indicted … as a matter of law, then the only way to hold the president accountable is for Congress to consider it and act, if warranted,” Nadler said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“Congress can only do that if it has the information,” he added. “For the department to take the position that, ‘We’re not going to give information because he’s not indicted, like a normal person who’s not indicted because of lack of evidence,’ is equivalent to a cover-up and subverts the only ability to hold the president accountable.”
You have to give one thing to the Democrats, even after what should have been a catastrophic blow to their Russian collusion inquisition, they aren’t running up the white flag of surrender.
On the contrary, they are tripling-down as Nadler did with his claim that the Mueller report really doesn’t matter now because there WAS collusion although he wasn’t pressed by the bobblehead conducting the interview on CNN about what his evidence was.Nadler also moved the goalposts to refocus attention on the ongoing investigations by the corrupt SDNY prosecutors who are pursuing the Michael Cohen angle as a redirection into the president’s business dealings and a possible impeachment over “campaign finance violations” now that the Trump as a Kremlin agent ship has sailed.
We know there was collusion,” Nadler insisted several times during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with guest host Dana Bash. “Why there’s been no indictments, we don’t know.
“Well, there have been obstructions of justice, whether they are — clearly, whether they are criminal obstruction is another question,” Nadler explained. “But we have — the special prosecutor is limited in scope. His job was limited in scope and limited to crimes. What Congress has to do is look at a broader picture. We are in charge — we have the responsibility of protecting the rule of law, of looking at obstructions of justice, abuses of power, at corruption, in order to protect the rule of law so that our democratic institutions are not greatly damaged by this president.”
Hey, the tinfoil hat brigades have proven to be reliable suckers and even if Mueller ends up clearing Trump, it doesn’t mean that there isn’t any meat between the buns of this big fat nothingburger.
Nadler’s shell game shows that the coordination of the Dems’ propaganda apparatus as it was MSNBC’s homophobic race-baiter Joy Reid who first trotted out the cover-up sham.
They just don’t quit but the implosion of RussiaGate may well serve to discredit the media as much as Saddam’s non-existent WMD’s once did and as a result, Nadler and the Dems will be preaching to a shrinking choir who will see this as what it is and that is a vendetta against the duly elected President Of The United States.
