In an article written in the FLA News, former presidential candidate Herman Cain released the “10 Questions Every Democrat Candidate Should Answer.”
This article, which was so impressive that President Trump even shared it on his Facebook page, goes into detail about the questions that every Democratic Presidential candidate should answer in regards to the 2020 election.
Check out the questions below:
1. Do you support capitalism?
This question was posed to rising Democrat star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who halfheartedly answered, “I believe in a democratic economy, but…” That’s not good enough — not when we’re talking about the system that made America the greatest economic power in the history of the world, and which continues to lift millions of people out of poverty all over the world.
2. Should America become a socialist country?
Most Democrats try to pay lip service to capitalism while advancing a neo-socialist agenda, but now that the avowed socialist Bernie Sanders has thrown his hat into the ring, the rest of the Democrat field will need to make it clear to the voters where they stand on this defining issue — will America be a free country or a socialist one?
3. Where do you stand on Medicare for All?
Estimates show that Medicare for All will cost around $32.6 trillion. With such an astronomical price tag, voters deserve to know exactly how the Democrats would collect the taxes to pay for it. Vague promises of a “wealth tax” won’t cut it — Medicare for All would still require trillions of dollars in new taxes on ordinary Americans, and we need to know what the Democrats have in store for us.
4. Why do you support the Green New Deal?
Democrat presidential candidates have been rushing to endorse this massive government takeover of the economy, and they owe it to the people to explain why they support a socialist project that would literally cripple America’s economy.
5. Do you support post-birth abortion? (yes or no)
This will be one of the defining issues of the 2020 election. Everyone in America knows where President Trump stands on abortion — he firmly opposes infanticide. Senate Democrats — including every Democrat senator who is running for President — have taken a public stand in favor of allowing doctors to kill infants who survive attempted abortion, but the Democrat presidential candidates still have to explain where they stand on legislation their colleagues have advanced in New York and Virginia to make abortion legal even after a living child is born.
6. What was your role in the “witch hunt” against President Trump?
Throughout Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia-collusion witch hunt, many Democrat lawmakers have distorted various facts in order to justify their irresponsible calls to impeach President Trump. As investigation after investigation concludes without finding any evidence to support that wild theory, Democrats will have to account for their roles in the hysteria.
7. Do you believe in borders?
Most Democrats claim to support border security in principle, but then obstruct the one truly effective measure at our disposal — a border wall. Meanwhile, some Democrats even want to “abolish ICE” and restrict our capacity to detain violent criminals apprehended at the border. Every Democrat candidate for President will have to unequivocally state where they stand on these two fundamental components of border security.
8. Do you support “sanctuary cities?”
It’s a federal crime to cross into the United States illegally, or to overstay a visa. So-called “sanctuary cities” flout federal authority by refusing cooperation with ICE when they catch illegal aliens committing other crimes, endangering the very communities they’re supposed to protect. President Trump has made clear that he considers sanctuary cities illegal; how do his prospective challengers feel about this affront to the authority of the federal government they aspire to lead?
9. Do you support a wealth tax?
The American dream is partially based on the accumulation of material wealth, which is essential to the free pursuit of happiness that Americans cherish. But Elizabeth Warren wants to demonize the notion of wealth with her “wealth tax.” How many of her competitors will sign on to this long-discredited and economically destructive proposal?
10. Should Virginia’s Democrat leadership resign?
The state’s Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General are all embroiled in serious scandals — two have admitted to wearing blackface, and the other has been accused by multiple women of committing sexual assault and rape. The implications are enormous, since a Republican would become Governor if all three were to resign, and the Democrat presidential candidates should tell voters whether they believe such horrendous behavior should be tolerated for the sake of political advantage.
Will the Democratic candidates actually answer these questions? Probably not. But it definitely puts pressure on them to give the American people answers.
Trump is constantly pressed with difficult questions from the media that he is forced to answer, but when the media has the opportunity to ask Democrats just as equally difficult questions, they instead give softball questions that can easily be answered.
It’s nice to see that there are good people like Herman Cain out there who are not afraid to ask the difficult questions that the media refuses to ask.
